The Class of 1970 receives award for Float entry in the 4th of July Parade.
The Trophies were sponsored through donations by the GFWC Seward Junior Women's Club through their Holiday Bazaar, The Seward VFW Auxiliary Post 4755 and the GFWC Women's Club.
Judges for this annual parade included Stephen Pipkin of Austin, Texas, Darin and Mari Anne Worthington of Kansas City (Prairie Village) Kansas, Rosie Hanneke of College Park, MD., and Amy Gausman of Washington, D.C.
Congratulations : Class of 1970 Float Builders, "The onboard animatronics' of Cathy (Moles) Itzen and Susan (Tuma) Hraban were unbelievably lifelike". Rumor has it, that work has begun on the entry possibilities for the 2011 Tournament of Roses Parade (Rose Bowl) held annually in Pasadena, CA.
